Accessing MyChurchSuite

A MyChurchSuite account gives you access to a range of features relating to your involvement in church life. Once you have an acount, you can access MyChurchSuite in a web browser and through an app on your phone or tablet.

This article explains how to get access to your account and a couple of the key features.

Setting up your MyChurchSuite account

  1. Firstly, you need to have an account invitation from the church office. Email office@kcd.org.uk if you don’t have one already.
  2. You’ll receive an invitation email.
  3. Click the link in the invitation email to set your password and get access to your account.

Logging in via a web browser

  1. Go to kcd.churchsuite.co.uk
  2. Enter you login details
  3. Select MyChurchSuite
  4. You’re in!

Setting up the app on an iPhone or iPad

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, go to the Apple Store and search for “Church Suite”.
  2. Install the app and open it
  3. Enter your login details
  4. You’re in!

Setting up the app on an Android phone or tablet

  1. On your phone or tablet, go to the Play Store and search for “ChurchApp”.
  2. Install the app and open it
  3. Enter your login details
  4. You’re in!

Updating your contact details and privacy settings

The church office contact list is managed stored in ChurchSuite. Your MyChurchSuite account enables you to let us know when your details change.

Security and privacy of contact information is obviously paramount online, and ChurchSuite is very robust in both of these areas. ChurchSuite meets the same strictest industry security requirements as international banks (read more if you’re interested), and within your MyChurchSuite account you have full control over which information is shared with anyone other that the church staff team.

Updating your details

  1. Click the edit icon next to your name on the MyChurchSuite home page
  2. Make your changes
  3. Click ‘Save Changes’

That details page has options to ‘Receive SMS through ChurchSuite’ and ‘Receive emails through ChurchSuite’. At the moment we’re not using the SMS feature anyway, but we may in the future to give text reminders about rotas. If you switch off emails from ChurchSuite you won’t get any emails from the church office so please don’t do that!

Privacy settings

Any details you put in ChurchSuite can be seen by the church office, church staff and church leaders. By default your contact details will also be visible to people in your cell group and on ministry teams with you.

If you would prefer not to have certain ones of your details shown to your cell group members and ministry teams, you can set them invisible when you edit your details as above.

We may also launch an opt-in ChurchSuite version of the old church directory, but we’ll communicate with everyone before we do that.


 

Setting your availability for ministry rotas

If your part of a ministry team that has a rota, you’ll find details about your involvement in ‘My Rotas’. t the top of the screen you’ll see the dates that you’re ‘Next Serving’.

Underneath ‘Next Serving’ is ‘Unavailability’. This is where you can let your ministry team leaders know when you won’t be able to serve on rotas.

To add unavailability

  1. In My Rotas, click ‘+Unavailability’
  2. Enter the dates you’re unavailable
  3. You can add a description of why you’re unavailable if you want to
  4. Click ‘Add Unavailability’ at the bottom
  5. Repeat as appropriate
